01 / The gaze
Before I act,
I look, and …
… try to forget everything. I am drawn to the moment before an answer. The look that tells a different story from the words. The moment that leaves even me surprised.
02 / The body
Before words, there is movement.
Dance and music were my first language. In the body, in that moment when doing brings us into contact with something beyond ourselves, the character comes alive — beyond my ego.
03 / The voice
A story begins in what is left unsaid.
Salzburg. Salt Lake City. Vienna. Berlin. Different places, languages and voices. Searching for my own tone, my own voice. For truth in the telling.
04 / The role
I do not become someone else.
I look for the point where the character and my own experience meet.

Perfection tells us little.
I am drawn to the point where a facade begins to give way. Where doubt, longing and contradiction become visible.

Attention changes things.
For me, acting and a therapeutic approach begin in the same place: with presence, trust and truly listening.

Behind every role, a person waits.
Actor. Father. Questioner. Teacher. Learner. Storyteller. Searching for the essence of being. Searching for freedom in doing.

I love it when
a scene surprises me.
I prepare. Learn the words, search for the character. And then another person stands before me. A look, a pause — and suddenly everything takes a different direction. These are the moments I act for.
